At aged 15 I entered and won the Bridport Young Film Maker’s Competition and as a prize got a years mentoring from an MA Film Tutor at Bournemouth Uni Film Department. I went on to study A-Level Media and Photography where I worked on a variety of short films and film projects.
In 2018, at age 15, I collaborated with poet Greta Stoddart to make my first poem film, Here’s a Thought I’d Rather be Thinking, for the Magma Film Issue which was selected and screened at The Cinema Museum, London. In 2020 my short film Off-Peak was given a 4.5-star review and screened by the Indy Film Awards in Amsterdam. Off-Peak later went on to be screened as part of Indy Film Library's UK Director's Showcase at The Garden Cinema, London in 2024. In 2021 my poem film Lie in a Field on Your Back was selected by the Poetry Archive and screened as part of their Poetry Screen collection. This film was then screened at REEL Film Festival in Texas, USA. In 2022 my dance film The Night We Stole a Full-Length Mirror was selected as a Quarter-Finalist for FIVC International Screendance Festival Chile.
Other films I’ve directed include a documentary about a gravedigger and a short drama, both at The Northern Film School, Leeds, from which I graduated in 2023. I’ve been production runner on a BFI-funded film Starling and Script Supervisor on a graduation film. I’ve also done event videography for Shute Festival and Artist Commission films for Hugh Dunford-Wood, Kit Glaisyer, Matthew Caley and PRIMARY Artists Nottingham.
Recently I've directed a short promotional film for Adidas and their sponsorship of the Women’s World Cup 2023 as part of the Kodak/Nahemi Student Awards, which was screened at the Regent Street Cinema and won the Craft Award for Best Writing. I was also DOP on a music-video for London-based musician Clara Pople and her new single Balance.
